A SOCIALLY SPACED SHOW: black midi

Wednesday 16 December

Unfortunately and due to the latest government restrictions, black midi’s show at The Jazz Cafe on 16th December has been cancelled. Ticket holders will be contacted directly.

We are absolutely thrilled to present a small programme of actual concerts this Autumn and Winter. They will be socially distanced and we’re working closely with each venue to implement Covid-secure measures and ensure the safety of all, meaning that we can (finally) get back to it and support some of the local artists, venues and technicians that we love.

Please note, you can purchase up to 6 seats for the same household / support bubble. Risk assessments have been approved and a full list of these measures will be detailed in due course and sent to all ticket buyers.

We are happy (and extremely excited) to announce that all three of black midi’s socially spaced shows at The Jazz Cafe will now take place this month. Those of you who purchased tickets for the band’s *postponed November dates will receive confirmation emails, about which rescheduled date you now have tickets for.

Saturday 12th December – SOLD OUT
Tuesday 15th December* – SOLD OUT
Wednesday 16th December* – CANCELLED (SOLD OUT)

Following the release of their long awaited debut album Schlagenheim, elusive experimental four-piece black midi play three socially spaced shows at Jazz Cafe.

The band met at the Brit School and built their reputation through fierce, driven gigs at Brixton’s Windmill, before headlining sold out shows at Electrowerkz, Bloc, Bussey Building, EartH and Fabric.

Skilled vocalist/guitarist Geordie Greep, guitarist Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin, bassist Cameron Picton and drummer Morgan Simpson produce a sound that is improvised, hypnotic, freeform and decidedly anti-pop. As anyone who’s been lucky enough to catch black midi live will testify, their live shows have a reputation for being an unpredictable riot of prog rock experimentation and these exclusive shows will be no exception.
