DUE TO HIGH DEMAND TR/ST’S SHOW ON TUESDAY 9TH APRIL WILL NOW INSTEAD BE HOSTED AT THE STEEL YARD. ALL EXISTING TICKETS REMAIN VALID.
In the five years since releasing Joyland, TR/ST’s last full-length album, Robert Alfons wrote and recorded songs in a farmhouse in southern Ontario and in Los Angeles — where he has relocated — and worked with an all-star cast of collaborators.
The Destroyer — Alfons new album is comprised of eight songs and is divided into two parts. The first part, that will be released in April this year, highlights industrial and dream pop influences where Alfons’ knack for shimmering sounds and powerful vocals are on display. The second part, ready to be released in November, reveals a more mellow, intimate side of the artist. However TR/ST ‘s trademark sound, which has been lauded in outlets including Pitchfork, FADER and NME, is presented throughout.
BOTW fave and TR/ST pal Lydia Ainsworth opens the show. Keep your eyes peeled for her new album, Phantom Forest, out in May.
